Access Equipment
It is required by the working at height regulations that working at height should be avoided if possible. However, for those situations where working at height cannot be avoided employers and contractors must ensure that work is properly planned, supervised and carried out by competent personnel using the right type of equipment.
Our access products, shown on this website, provide access solutions for many of the common working at height requirements. User instructions are provided with each product supplied and these are also available in this section of our website. The user instructions give useful guidance for the use and maintenance of the equipment. This helps in addressing important elements of the regulations. The products are certified to confirm conformance to the appropriate international standard and the certificates are available on request.
We have robust procedures to ensure that the product types concerned are designed, manufactured and tested under controlled conditions conforming to our Quality Management System that conforms to BS ISO 9001: 2015
Our customers ask why should I select a certified product?
Our certification provides a “Declaration of Conformity” confirming that the product types offered for selection have been designed and tested to the criteria defined by the international standard that is appropriate for the product. This ensures that the necessary safety criteria and durability of the product is achieved.
What is an International Standard?
International standards are formulated by international standards committees which will include professionals from health and safety agencies, testing and certification agencies and from responsible manufacturers in the appropriate field. Once formulation of the standard is completed, scrutiny of the standard follows before adoption by the British Standards Institute in this country, or the equivalent body in other countries. Regular reviews of standards ensure that the content of these remain relevant. We address the appropriate international standard when developing new access products to ensure conformance is achieved.
Handling Equipment
Trucks and trolleys are not considered safety critical and therefore we do not engage with formal certification of these products. However, there are fundamental elements in the design of these products that need to be addressed to achieve effective, durable and safe use of the products. We call on our 40 years of experience in the supply of trucks and trolleys and ensure that the products shown on this website meet the expectation of our customers by incorporating our user focused approach into the development of the products concerned.
Our customers ask what tests do you carry out on trucks and trolleys?
All product types are tested to validate the capacity loads and any necessary strengthening at stress points is incorporated into the specification of the products before finalisation of the designs so that suitability and durability of all products is achieved.
